Kind words from a good band- good dudes.
So we played our first show out of town the other day (well, feb 4th) in London and had a blast. Got picked up by Baz of the flood from our lock up around 4, just as the snow started to get heavy. Had a good journey there, the view from the motorway looked like we were in Norway or something though. Got to London a bit later than planned due to the snow, hung out with the Self Loathing dudes and had a stroll around Deptford in the snow. Got back in time to see Piranha and Ghee who were both wicked. Went to get a pizza but the shop was closed, but we didn’t care because Year of the Flood were setting up and everyone loves a bit of YOTF. They played out their skins, their new song was ace and we’re all genuinely gutted they’re calling it a day. Some of the nicest people and most under-rated bands we’ve had the pleasure of meeting and playing with. We had to cut our set short but we didn’t mind as everyone there banged their heads, was good to see so many people sticking around in the bad weather. packed all our stuff into the Baz mobile, left the Bird’s nest at 12, didn’t get out of London until 3.30! Had to push Baz’s car uphill for about half a mile, had a snow ball fight and got stuck in traffic. We got to Birmingham at 5.30 and got ripped off by a taxi home. Thanks to Baz, WYHTG, the bands that played and Self Loathing for trecking down. This is probably a bit boring to read. Doubt anyone will, but if you have, cheers.
